I opted for the Lucid Optics L7 Rifle Scope
At the range we wanted to put the 1″ promise to the test. When it comes to 22 rimfire ammo, you have to be sure that what you sight in your optic with, is the same ammo you use for your testing. Ammo, especially 22 rimfire can drastically vary from load to load and manufacturer to manufacturer. For our testing, we used Remington Target loads, and for our optic of choice we used the Lucid L7.

The L7 optic is ideally suited for use in short to medium range applications with most any caliber. The L7 from Lucid is a 1-6×24 optic and is made to compete with all the big boys, but at a fraction of the price. Lucid has always produced quality products, and we felt this was a perfect compliment to the Springfield 2020.
On my first four attempts at groupings, i was unable to do the 1″ promised groups. However, I discovered that with some slight trigger adjustments, I took the trigger down from a 4lb pull to a 2lb pull, and this made my efforts a lot more effective. I was able to consistently land the 1″ group at 50 yards, and I honestly feel I could do this out even further. The Lucid proved to be “spot on” and made this an easy task to accomplish.
