Nobody says Glock pistols are not FUN.
A Glock may be a utilitarian tool, and not the sort of visually-stunning object of the gunmaker’s art that we love to caress and admire, but the doggone things just WORK. Glock’s rock-solid reliability, as well as the company’s ingenious marketing strategies that placed the Glock pistol at the forefront of Law Enforcement use over the past four decades, has cemented the Glock pistol in the minds of many as the ubiquitous pistol for the 21st Century. Glock’s design features are now widely copied across the firearms industry, and it is hard to imagine now where the semi-automatic pistol market would be right now had it not been for Glock’s influence.
The same reliability and accuracy attributes that have made Glock the darling of Law Enforcement agencies worldwide, also serve well in the self-defense and leisure-shooting markets. The Glock is extremely simple to run and to maintain, and this makes them just as good a choice for personal defensive use as for Law Enforcement use. Beyond this, the relative cost-effectiveness of the 9mm Luger cartridge in the current volatile ammunition market makes the Glock 9mm a good choice for a fun day at the range. Many Glock pistols can be found on any given day at local public and private ranges, serving their owners as tools for not only training and self-defense, but for FUN. Those who hate the idea of firearms as the foundation of Freedom would probably never understand this, but few things in life are more peaceful and relaxing as a nice day at the range with good friends.

Typically, Glock 9mm pistols have magazines with the capacity to hold from ten to seventeen rounds of ammunition, depending on the model; this is very good and very useful, but in itself is nothing new, as these standard-capacity “double-stack” magazines have been established since the Browning Hi Power design of nearly a century ago. The Glock may have originated in Austria, but its popularity inevitably led to its application relating to that very American axiom: if Some is Good, then MORE is Better.
I have shot many Glock pistols over the decades, but I had never actually owned one until fairly recently. I certainly have nothing against Glocks, and I greatly appreciate them for the reliable tools that they are, but as I’m more of a “1911 Guy” and an admirer of traditional craftsmanship and materials, I’ve just never been able to get excited about Glocks. Still, I have come to believe, because of their utility, as well as their universal appeal and acceptance, that everyone should own a Glock 9mm, so I finally broke down last year and bought a Glock Gen5 Model 45 9mm. The Model 45, to me, has a particularly attractive feature set, with the compact slide sporting serrations fore and aft, along with a full-size grip length offering the full-size version’s magazine capacity; sort of like Glock’s version of the Commander 1911. For several months, I shot the Glock 45 regularly for fun and practice, enjoying the standard 17-round magazine capacity, but, as a good American, I began to consider again that very American axiom: if Some is Good, then MORE is Better.
Enter the folks at Amend2 Magazines.
We have tested and used Amend2 Magazines for several years, mostly their excellent AR magazines, as well as their standard-capacity pistol magazines. Their quality has always proven to be impeccable, they are made in the USA, and they are cost-effective; as a result, it is not uncommon to find Amend2 magazines in my range bags.
The Amend 2 Standard 18-round Glock Magazine
Amend2 Magazines offers their 34-Round A2-Stick magazine for Glock 9mm pistols to appeal to those shooters who, for whatever reason or for no reason at all, desire double the magazine capacity of the standard 17-round Glock magazine. The A2-Stick magazine is solidly designed and manufactured in the USA, using American parts and craftsmanship. The magazine’s body is made from reinforced impact-resistant polymer, and exhibits no discernible flex; the base plate is polymer, and the follower is self-lubricating polymer. The magazine’s spring is constant-pressure, non-corrosive, and heavy duty, allowing Amend2 to back their magazines with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Amend2’s 34-Round A2-Stick 9mm magazine is compatible with any double-stack Glock 9mm pistol, or any other 9mm pistol that uses Glock-compatible magazines; it is lightweight, sturdy, reliable, and affordable. The A2-Stick 9mm magazine is available in either black or FDE, for the same low price, either directly from Amend2 Magazines or from other resellers. I purchased mine, as I often purchase accessories and components, from MidSouth Shooters Supply in Tennessee; MidSouth is only about 30 miles from my place, so it is convenient for me to run over there and pick-up my orders, but they do ship nationwide. MidSouth’s prices are competitive, their selection is vast, and their service is second to none. The A2-Stick 9mm Magazine retails for only $20.99, which represents a great value on today’s inflated market. Even better, five-packs are available for $89.95, which works out to only $17.99 apiece.
Amend 2 A2- 34 Round Glock Magazine
Is the Amend2 A2-Stick Magazine practical? Probably not really, as it is far too large to conceal effectively for personal defensive use when inserted into the pistol (it can be carried as a spare or second magazine without too much difficulty, but how many shooters are really going to do that?).
Is the Amend2 A2-Stick Magazine FUN? You bet your life it is, and, as I often say, FUN is reason enough to justify buying at least one…if you need justification, and thanks to our Founding Fathers, you don’t, at least in those parts of our beloved Country that still recognize Freedom. These magazines are not legal in California, Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. Those of you who are living under the thumb of such oppression, may God bless you and deliver you soon; for the rest of us, we must resist such infringements, and in the meantime, load ’em up!
